... WHAT.

Hat tip from [livejournal.com profile] tipper_green -- ff.net (as of March 22nd) has apparently removed all of the "---" and other special characters that people (including me) used to use for scene breaks. (I noticed that my "<hr>" scene breaks are still in there, though.)

Which means that right now, we look like idiots because our stories are just giant blocks of text without transitions between scenes. And those of us who write long stories, or a lot of stories, are in the worst boat ...I'm not sure if it's even worth going back to edit stories that I wrote 6 and 7 years ago, but the alternative is leaving them up in "giant block of text" format.

Grrrrrrrrr.

Yep, there's an edit button - you click on it and can edit the chapter title, but so far I've not found a way to edit the story after it has gone live.

Most frustrating!!

Still, it has a plus side - one person has emailed me to say it had drawn her attention to my stories and she's re-read at least one of them - and is quite happy about it!!!

But yes, a pain in the butt...and if it wasn't for the sake of the readers, I wouldn't bother. But I have a few who have fav'd me or my stories, and the stats for reading them on ff.net are pretty good (about equal to Wraithbait), so I feel I need to make the effort.

If you find a way to edit the story itself, let me know. It could be because I upload word docs not html.
