naye and I should never be allowed to write anything together ever again. Ever. :D (But ... fun! So much fun!)
A few miscellaneous pimpings:
sgabigbang has closed Sheppard/McKay and gen signups (90 participants!
Sweet!) but
signups for other pairings are happening now. So if gen or Sheppard/McKay is not your thing, go take a look! Maybe you've got a Ronon/Rodney or Rodney/Teyla or OT4 fic just waiting to be written. (What? I'm biased! There are more pairings available -- go look!)
lgbtfest has
sign-ups available now. As someone who has long complained that I want to see more fanfic that deals with LGBT issues without being all about hooking two characters up (i.e. gen LGBT fic, if that makes any sense) I'm thrilled by this!
Shortcut to page with SGA prompts because I'm trying very hard not to sign up for anything else right now, but there are some fantastic prompts and I really hope a lot of them get written!
If there are any other Gateverse ficathons currently taking signups, please feel free to post them in the comments. These are the only ones I can think of at the moment, but I'm sure more are out there.
(And
sga_genficathon stories go live on March 31st -- I can't wait! Some good stories have been turned in already ... squee!)

You noticed how the Big Bang closed three participants after us? Whee! Talk about squeaking in under the wire! (The fic was obviously meant to happen!)
Didn't know about the

There are some really tempting prompts over yonder; I keep reminding myself that if I actually want to write similar stories, I could do it on my own rather than under the auspices of a ficathon, and I do not need more commitments right now!

Oh is there a specific header you want us using?

and ack! I need to get to work on my ficathon story! (have the plot mostly worked out but I'm sorta waiting for a couple details to fall into place before I sink my teeth into it ^^;)
--Also, completely unrelated to this, but regarding pregnancy in scifi, I actually thought of one show besides TNG that had a completely normal childbirth & baby. Well, okay, not normal by human standards, but by the species standards it was all kosher - you ever watch Alien Nation?

No, I knew it wasn't a poke. It was more my guilty conscious talking because I *wasn't* writing. The story is a bit out of control and I have to keep working on it if I want to get it finished in time to have it betaed (or just, you know, in time).
