2007 Stargate Fan Awards

Sweeeeeet! The Stargate Fan Awards are open for voting! Mmmm ... there are lots of fantastic stories listed ... and, as much fic as I read, I'm surprised by how many of these I haven't read! Guess there's a lot of fic reading in my future. Aww, what a shame.

In case anyone is curious, here are the stories of mine that are nominated.

The Killing Frost in the category Gen Team Action/Adventure

Long Road Home in the category Gen Team Drama

Running on Empty in the category Gen Sheppard/McKay Action/Adventure

Old Soldiers Die Hard in the category Gen Sheppard/McKay Angst

The Light of a Fading Sun in the category Gen Sheppard/McKay Drama

Breathe in the category Gen Sheppard/McKay Hurt/Comfort

Comrades in Arms in the category Gen Ronon/Other

Postcards to Jeannie in the category Gen Teyla

Three Kinds of Men in the category Gen Sheppard Episode-Based

The Longest Mile in the category Gen McKay Angst

I've spent most of the evening reading Toni Morrison's Beloved, which is very good but WOW do I really, really need some happy, fluffy SGA fanfic now. And my Amazon order with the next Locke Lamora book has shipped! eeee! *rubs hands together in anticipation* I also discovered the most current Temeraire book's out in paperback, so snapped that up, too.

Congratulations!

on your ten nominations. Now I have some reading of my own to catch up on. So much for getting the house cleaned up NEXT weekend!

I'm looking forward to getting the prompts for the genficathon. I have two story ideas already that I hope will work. If not, then I will set them aside for later, assuming I don't get them written first. Hopefully the prompts will give me some more wonderful ideas.

And I hope you have a great week.

Wow! That's quite a list, that's so awesome! I definitely know what I'm voting for in the Team Drama category now ;)

(Have I mentioned this week how much I love that AU? *g*)

Oh, plenty of reading to do! (Must vote fairly, since there is a remote possibility that there might be stories in some of these categories that I'll love even more than yours. Very remote. Very, very remote.) Thanks for the heads up - and congratulations on your own number of nominations! Well deserved, every single one of them.

And I can't wait to hear what you think about Red Seas Under Red Skies! ♥

Will check out your fics...GOOD LUCK!!!

dood! I just mainlined The Light of a Fading Sun and I swear, it is one of the most amazing things I've read this year. The characters blow me away - the way you spin out minor changes into their logical, dark results and... No words! Except for Awesome
