Songvid/AMV question

I'm going through my older vids, which were basically made for my own amusement with no plans of posting them anywhere. However, would anyone be interested in me putting them up for download? They're mainly anime -- I did ones for One Piece, GetBackers, Saiyuki, and Fullmetal Alchemist. If anyone is interested, I can convert them to WMVs and upload them.

EDIT: I should have said this before, but most of these (except for the Saiyuki ones) are made from older fansubs, and therefore have very distracting text across the bottom of them. Some have other video glitches as well; the quality is not that great.

I'd love to see your FMA vid. :) I'm not too familiar with the other shows...

The only problem is that nearly all of these vids (including the FMA one) are done from fansubs, so they have text across the bottom -- which, actually, is the main reason why I *haven't* done vids for public consumption until fairly recently. It's hard to enjoy the pretty characters with the text getting in the way!

hmmm good point. I think most anime vidders just use the dubbed versions of the episodes..however for a long time you had to wait forever for those to get released.

I ought to mention (and I think I'm going to edit this into the original post as well) that these are made from fansubs, or most of them are, so they've got very distracting subtitles across the bottom ... actually, this is the main reason why I haven't done any vids for public consumption 'till recently, because the quality is just not that good.

Anyway, my musical tastes run heavily towards older rock/pop, and I seem to have been on an especially heavy 70s/early 80s kick back at the time I was making these (3-4 years ago).

One Piece: vids set to "Take it to the Limit"/Eagles (Zoro/Mihawk fight), "With or Without You"/U2 (Nami/Arlong arc), and "We are the People (Our Parents Warned Us About)"/Jimmy Buffett (everybody).

Saiyuki: "Go Your Own Way"/Fleetwood Mac (Sanzo, footage from first few eps), "My Little Demon"/Fleetwood Mac (basically just footage from the first episode and theme song), and "End of the Line"/Traveling Wilburys (footage from first few episodes).

GetBackers: "I'm a Believer"/Smashmouth cover (Shido/Madoka)

FMA: "Burning Love"/Elvis (Roy Mustang)

They range from decently edited to rather badly edited, IMHO.

That is pretty much my favorite time period for music (ee! Eagles! Fleetwood Mac!) (...yes, there's a Reason I love Dean ^^) so, yeah, sounds good to me! ^^

Have you tried cropping them in VirtualDub to remove the subtitles? it's a clumsy solution but it is less distracting...(wmvs aren't allowed in the current VD, but the older version still had support: http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_tools/virtualdub_1_3c.cfm )
