It's bad enough that I read David Hewlett's sister's blog (hey, at least she was actually in an episode), but I am sitting here reading his MOTHER'S blog. I'm starting to feel like a stalker. (But ... it's interesting? And, dude! His mother has a blog! The whole family seems pretty damn cool ... speaking as someone who's never actually come within 2000 miles of them, of course.)
We finished up Doctor Who season 2 tonight, so I really should post about that, but right now I'm randomly surfing. A number of people on LJ wished me happy birthday today, which is flattering and sort of embarrassing at the same time. I appreciate it hugely, don't get me wrong (and I hope I thanked all of you -- if I missed anyone, I really did appreciate it, and I missed it because ... I'm an idiot?) but it just feels odd, because I haven't actually done anything for my birthday since I was a kid; I notice it, and I usually get a few calls or gifts from my family, who all live somewhere else anyway, but that's it. So this is probably the most happy-birthdays I've gotten since I was, I dunno, twelve or something. Thank you, everyone!
... well, tonight I shanghaied my husband into watching Who with me. I figured if it's my birthday, he can't say no. I figured right! ^_^
Anyway, random surfing ...
wolfenm is making a series of My Little Pony versions of the Stargate characters, and her latest one is Ronon, which just ... I have no words. Seriously, no words. She's also got Sheppard and McKay and Daniel and Vala. (Note: some episode spoilers in the creator comments under the images, especially for "Sunday".)
Doctor Who cartoon that cracked me up. Daleks and stairs ...
Back on the ever-popular subject of SGA, I keep forgetting to mention this, but there's a missing scenes challenge over at
sheppard_hc -- a number of h/c writers (including me) have made our stories available for others to write tags and missing scenes for them. Anybody else want to sign up? Or write something? *rubs hands together* Now I just need to decide what to write...

Have you seen A Dog's Breakfast yet? I downloaded it -- and now I can watch for the "online screening". It's really a funny movie! :D
Thanks for the MLP plug! Glad you enjoyed Ronon so much!

The dalek cartoon was funny, and the ponies - kinda creepy how much they look like the characters! Good, though.
Quick question, would I have to join the sheppard_hc community to offer my stories or not? I'd join, but I struggle to keep up with the ones I'm on as it is and I'm much more a Rodney fan...but I'd like to offer some of my stories for missing scenes/tags. Should I be asking this on the community site...? (Still feel like a newbie with livejournal!)
Thanks.

I don't think you would need to join; I'd think you could just post in the thread and let others know your fics are available for tags. If you want to make sure you could check with

I've opened some of my stories up on sheppard_hc - gotta admit to being a bit nervous. In a different fandom someone asked if they could write a sequel to a story and I said yes, but the result was, well, badly written and didn't fit in with the feel, or even plot(?!), of the previous story... but the writers on sheppard_hc seem to be good ones (let's face it, most of them are better than me!), so not TOO worried, really...
Why is so hard to 'let go' of my babies, erm, I mean, stories?!!

(And I need to write something for the challenge myself! I've gotten bogged down in another project, but there are several stories I'd REALLY like to do missing scenes for.)
