Last week's Lost
Curse you, LOST writers! Will you QUIT making me like the show again when I keep trying to stop watching it!
Okay, I still hate everything to do with the Others. Jerking us around? Not giving us answers? Vanishing into thin air AGAIN? What a shock! Juliet seemed nice, but she's just a lying two-faced ho'bag like the rest of them. DON'T TAKE HER BACK TO CAMP YOU FOOLS! I swear, sometimes Lost is like one of those teen slasher movies where you find yourself screaming at the screen, "No! Don't go in the basement! Have you people learned NOTHING from the previous 16 movies??" And Lost is the same way ... I mean, this NEVER ends well, and here they go again ...
But meanwhile, back at the camp ... HEEEE. Oh, Hugo, I love you to big fluffy pieces! Conning the con man! And then the fact that Sawyer *didn't* go postal at the end, when he found out that he'd been played -- and, yeah, darn it, I've gotten used to the fact that Sawyer is never going to be less than a self-serving bastard, so I'm not hoping for any sort of redemption to come out of this. But seriously, they're playing the redemption/team-spirit card quite a lot lately, from the car-in-the-jungle episode to the "aww" moment with the diamonds last week -- and by the way, as a well-done piece of television, last week's with the diamond thieves was probably the best stand-alone episode all season, not that this is saying a whole lot considering the generallack of quality of this season -- and now with Sawyer's adorably horrendous attempts at being a nice person and then the barbeque at the end ... *happy sigh*. THIS is the show I fell in love with the first season. Oh, Lost, where did you go and why won't you stay?
Although, for crying out loud, did every single person on the island meet every single other person on the island in their past life? Or at least one degree of separation removed? I love how TwoP describes Kate being on the lam as "the longest lam ever". Boy, isn't that the truth.
By the way and apropos of nothing, sincere thanks to everyone who gave me health advice. I really do appreciate it, and I'm feeling a lot better than I was when I posted that.

And last episode, eh... It was okay. I really am sick of the others. I really prefer the stories that occurr with the Losties at the beach. Forget the Others! I hope they're gone! (doubt it, but one can hope)

I'm hoping right along with you on that one. I *hate* the Others storyline. I hate it even worse than the Jack/Kate/Sawyer triangle. It's gotten to the point where I watch TV with my computer (well, I do that anyway, but normally there's more actual watching going on) and then write or surf the net whenever the Others show up. And I keep thinking, "Okay, this is the last episode of this damn show I'm ever going to watch" and then something sweet/cute/funny happens with the characters I actually care about.
I did love the way they integrated the dead people into the Paolo/whatsername flashbacks. Especially loved Arnz talking about Darwin, since his death was basically a Darwin Awards moment.
