Unintended consequences of name change discovered thus far
Come to find out, I can no longer edit my older crossposts between LJ and DW. I suppose that if I want to edit a post, I'll have to do it individually in both places.
Not a big deal, but ... unexpected. And none of my crosspost links display correctly, or show the comment count on the other site (though they do work).
But those are minor issues! I like my new name, and it seems to be showing up correctly everywhere it ought to be -- and I don't have any trouble thinking of it as "my" name when I see it (aside from a certain amount of disconcertingness, because I'm used to typing "friendshipper" into the address bar to get to my journal).
All systems go! \o/

Since you posted with your default icon, I didn't even notice you'd changed your name at first (I also had never noticed this icon says friendshipper on it; I just saw the pattern).

It didn't used to. Someone suggested it in the comments to my name change post (or something along those lines anyway) and I thought, hey, good idea!
I hadn't thought of reporting it but I think that's an excellent idea, so thank you. :D It might be something inherent in the system that's not fixable, but it may be that so few people have done DW renames yet that they're still working the bugs out of the system.

I'm still waiting for LJ to fix the 'export' problem. I can crosspost from DW to LJ but when I try to import comments left on the LJ versions it no longer works - nor can anyone use the LJarchive to back up their journals. It's a known issue that's been going on since at least the time they broke the rich text editor D:
