Okay, I'm saying this outside spoiler-cut because some people on my flist asked about watching Heroes after I'd talked about the show in past posts -- as of about 2/3 of the way through season three, I'm just about done with the show. The only reason why I'm still watching is because my husband is still enjoying it and there are still a couple of characters that I like, but wow, they've done a stellar job of destroying nearly everything that I liked about the show in the first season. Basically it's degenerated into a confusing, nonsensical mess in which most of the characters are utterly unlikable ... in other words, it's Lost all over again, only with less sex.

Meh.

You made it all the way into the third season of Heroes? Congratulations. :-) I walked away during the second, I think. Such a disappointment!

That seems to be where most people I know stopped watching! I found second season really dull, but stuck with it in the hopes it'd get better. It didn't.

Yeah. I stuck with the show till the end of season two because my friend still liked it but by then it was pretty obvious to me it'd never find back to the quality of the first season. It's easy to stop watching a show if you have to download it first.

I really dislike watching shows I'm not into, or no longer into. On that matter, I can't believe I've watched three seasons of True Blood just to be social /o\. Is that dedication or what.

Yeah, I think I was hoping that it would get good again, and early season three was, if not better, then such complete crack that it was entertaining for awhile. But now I just hate all the characters and want most of them to die.

Yeah...I never made it to season three. :/ It really could have been a good show. It was, for a while. *sigh*

I'm interested to see what will be next on your watching list. ;)

Yeah, it started out so promising and then descended into a pit of total suck.

I've actually been trying to figure out why Fringe doesn't really seem to have done this -- at least it hasn't made me hate all the characters yet -- despite having a similar convoluted plotline (and even being a JJ Abrams show). I'm thoroughly looking forward to the show coming back in the fall.

Next on the list: I don't know! I watched a few episodes of The Closer with my mom and really liked it, so maybe that'll be the next one. I am also wooed by Primeval, even though it looks kind of awful. But an entertaining kind of awful! Like Torchwood with dinosaurs!

I'll have to look in to Primeval - I don't really know anything about it. Like Torchwood with dinosaurs! sounds interesting, though. LOL

I have watched The Closer and liked it. I never watched fanatically, as in never missing an ep, but I tried to catch it regularly. She's a tough cookie wrapped up in soft, silky Southern Belle. Interesting character. :) I liked the supporting cast a lot, too.

yea, exactly. I watched Heroes in Season 1 and mostly enjoyed it. I lost interest after that because, like Lost - all it was was how many people they could kill - and how badly :(

It's not even the killing that I mind so much as the total character assassination of the survivors! Okay, yes, I mind the killing too. But for pete's sake, at this point the show can't even seem to muster one or two characters I can consistently root for. AUGH.

Heroes had so much potential and season 1 was pretty awesome. And then season 2 happened...I wish I could blame the writer's strike....
