Holy moley, I wrote a lot today. And this despite only having about two functional brain cells.

55500 / 60000 (92.50%)

You'll notice that the goalposts have moved, because I passed my original goal of 52K words, and uh ... there's still some novel to go. (Although we're through the climactic battle scene -- mostly -- so now it's just a matter of wrapping things up and nailing together some bits I'd written earlier.)

I don't want to go to work tomorrow; I want to stay home and write ...

I always want to stay home and write.

I don't blame you! :)

Sighs...does this mean we'll have to wait longer to read your new fic/novel? :(

Well, this one's an original novel and I'm not planning on posting it anywhere. After I get it done and let it sit for awhile -- a few months or so -- I'll see if it can clean up nice enough to be worth sending to a beta and maybe seeing about getting it published. Otherwise I'll probably stick it back in the (metaphorical) drawer and maybe use it as fodder for some other story down the road.

Huh. Could've sworn you were working on an SGA novel, as I thought you mentioned it in one of your previous posts...

Oh well. I hope everything works out for you and you get published. I'm trying to currently get a short story published in a sci-fi magazine, and am not sure if I should still do so or not. It's not exactly my best writing after all, but you have to get started somewhere, don't you? (considering) good luck, regardless, with your writing and such!

Thanks, and good luck to you, too! :) Just submitting a story is a huge step; so many people daydream about it but never even try, you know?
