New fanart recs comm

ratcreature has created a new fanart recs comm, modeled after crack_van -- fanart_recs on DW. I just went and signed up to rec ATLA; I've been looking at a ton of fanart lately, so coming up with four recs for the month should be a snap!

What was I saying about not signing up for more fannish commitments? Shut up. *g*

Anyway, they're very new (I'm just the second person to sign up as a reccer!) and they could totally use reccers if you have a DW journal and are interested. I'm sure there must be somebody out there who could do SGA for a month or two ...?

Oh yeah, planning to, once this current project is done. I think I got recs for a couple other fandoms too.

Yay! :D (I know that I don't say this much, but I always love your recs so much, because we're not only in many of the same fandoms, but have pretty similar tastes in a lot of them too!)

Whee! I'm so happy to see that the comm has gotten so much interest in less than 24 hours. With so many recs comms around, it's kind of surprising that nothing like that seems to have existed before ratcreature made this one! At least, nothing that got much traffic or attention, because I certainly haven't heard of one; all the fanart recs places that I knew about were fandom-specific, individually run websites.

Yeah. And I find the idea of a multifandom fanart recs place particularly interesting because while I read fic only in a handful of specific fandoms, I'm much more willing to check out art for sources I don't know... takes only a few seconds to check out a picture, after all.
