The website's live

Whew! It's all up. Read and enjoy, and let me know if you find any missing links or pages that do weird stuff. I still don't entirely trust CSS.

Yay! Thank you! :)

It's nice to have them all grouped in one place now.

Thanks for setting up an archive for your work! Its great to have it all in one place. (I can't tell you how long it took me to print off Killing Frost chapter by chapter from ff.net just so that I could have a hard copy to keep, lol)

Looking forward to more additions, as usual!

Ouch. Yes, I save fics too, and I really appreciate when the long ones are all on one page -- it makes things SO much easier! *grin*

AAAAAWESOME!! I adore the layout and the graphics. Very pro! You even had the little nominations buttons up. I didn't have anywhere to put those, I'm jealous. LOL!!

Thanks! *smiles* I'm really happy with how it came out. It only took a whole evening of my husband insisting he could teach me CSS without driving me insane ... well, and then a week of actually building the page, of course ...

I had stuck my nomination button on my LJ page, before ...

I've seen people put buttons on their lj as well. My stories aren't on any lj pages. Maybe I should branch out? :)

Well, most of mine aren't either. I just created an entry specially to display the button. :)

I've started posting my short stories on LJ, but the multi-chapter ones are just more trouble than they're worth, at least for me. And I'm not that fond of reading long fics on LJ anyway. Short ones, yes ... but with the long ones, it's just too difficult to track down all the parts.

Bless you for saying so!!! I hate when long fics are posted on lj's. Hate when fics are posted that way period. I'm still searching for one that I'm convinced was through an lj link. Probably will never lay eyes on it again. :(

I'm not categorically opposed to reading fic on LJ, but it definitely depends on how it's done. A comm like [livejournal.com profile] sga_flashfic, for example, does it right: no off-topic posts, everything very well organized with tags, cuts and information on each story (characters, rating, etc). You can just browse through and find lots of nice fics to read, and the tags make it (relatively) easy to find old ones. It can be an absolute nightmare, though, when you find "chapter 5 of ???" on somebody's LJ and then have to sift through half a year of untagged posts trying to find the rest of it. And yeah, the fact that it's not searchable is a goddawful pain when you're trying to find something that's been lost.

On the plus side, though, the easy comment feature on LJ is very, very nice, and so is the ability to watch journals of people whose fic I like. I will probably never use my LJ as my SOLE place of fic-posting -- it just doesn't work that well as an archive site. It makes a nice auxiliary to the archive, though, by providing an easy way for people to comment and because there *is* a built-in audience of LJ-only fic readers. It's kind of like uploading to the different SGA archives ... you can reach people at Wraithbait that you don't get at ff.net, for example. (Not that I'm on any of the other archive sites, but, you know ... in theory. LOL.)

As for the story you're looking for, have you tried asking on [livejournal.com profile] sgastoryfinders or the SGAHC list? Sometimes that helps.

What a lovely little site, thank you for putting that up! With ffnet being such a crappy site in the way of reliability, it's nice to have a place where people can access all fics past and present in one spot, and from a specific author. Right now, I can't access my favorites at ffnet so when I need a fix, I can't exactly get to the right fic easily. Crap, I wish all ff authors would do something like this! :D

Thank you! Yes, I quite agree about ff.net's general level of reliability lately. I'll still be posting my stories there, but I really needed a place to archive them that won't be down more than it's up.
