Fannish stuff

1. The masterlist of [livejournal.com profile] team_sga AU fics is up. Lots of neat stuff! I can't stop looking at this incredibly gorgeous image of the team in a Clover fusion. I'm not familiar with Clover (I know it's by CLAMP and that's pretty much it), so I was looking up pictures on Google Image Search in order to figure out what the characters look like, and I came across this Clover cosplay page -- look at those costumes! (And they're very beautifully photographed, as well.) There's a very steampunk vibe to the way they look.

This is not related to [livejournal.com profile] team_sga, but this team snippet by [livejournal.com profile] sheafrotherdon is very adorable and squeeful.

2. Leverage! We are up to episode 10 (we're watching them in the intended order, as per [livejournal.com profile] darkrosetiger, so that's the jury episode). OMG THIS SHOW IS SO SO SO SILLY. But in a very fun, cracky way! I think the main reason why I had so much trouble getting into it this winter is because I really wasn't in the mood for goofball hijinks, and this show is really not even remotely serious; if you try to take it seriously, your brain breaks. On the other hand, if you embrace the insanity, it really is incredibly fun. I was just commenting that they were working their way down the list of heartstring-tugging charitable causes (disabled veterans, church, etc) and I was wondering when we'd get orphans. Next episode ... ORPHANS! Oh, show. ♥ ♥ ♥ And they really couldn't be any more adorable; I think I'm even starting to warm up to Nate. I should do a longer post, because they deserve some squee. ^_^

awwwww, Leverage! I'm so glad you're getting into it, because it has that same teaminess that SGA has at the best of times (or, uh, in the best of fics): wacky, hijinxy, we-all-love-each-other family-feeling. Few shows make me want to write genfic, but Leverage is definitely one of them. I just want to write endless stories where they all steal something and then get ice cream.

I was really put off by the orphans episode the first time, because I was like . . . ORPHANS? REALLY? But then I rewatched it recently and, like you, was able to let go of any last desire for seriousness.

Yeah, it's fun and fluffy, and I think I needed some time to recover from the end of SGA in order to watch another fun, fluffy team show. And it's definitely one that needs to be watched with your sense of fun and play fully engaged, because otherwise -- let's face it, the plots, oh dear, the plots!

I'm really looking forward to next season, though, and I think it's the only show I'm feeling that way about right now.

Leverage is awesomeness. Have you seen the one where they are wedding coordinators? Bwahahaha!

It's too much fun! I'm done with the series now, and looking forward to next season. :)

Yay team(s)! Yeah, you just have to let go and let Leverage take over your brain. . .

You kinda just have to learn to relax and roll with the crazy. :D And I was still yelling things at the screen in the final episodes ("What, none of you people have guns?!" to the bad guys as Team Leverage escapes) ... but I used to do that with SGA too, and SPN ... DON'T GET ME STARTED. *g*

It's nice to have something to look forward to next fall! SPN has largely lost me at this point, and there isn't really anything else that I'm fannishly enthusiastic about.

I love Leverage! Oh Parker, you are so innocent (in such a wicked way!). And Tim Hutton is seriously good as Nate. There's so much teamy goodness, I think that's why I like it so much. They are such a family :D
