whumpex and idproquo are both in nominations right now. Whumpex closes nominations this evening (in a few hours) and IPQ on the 24th.

My track record with exchanges has been ... not so great lately - I defaulted on two in a row, I almost never do that - but I do think things are improving and I'd like to try again, maybe with slightly better planning this time.

I'll decide on IPQ at the last minute. It usually gets clobbered by HCEX running at the same time, so I've never actually done this exchange, and I'd like to do it at least once. That said, given how much travel I have coming up, it may not be wise. I'll see how things go!

Yeah, I did both IPQ and HCEX together one year, and it was definitely too much of a similar thing! (Edit: IPQ used to run at a different time of year, and it was a lot easier to do both with that schedule. At some point they moved it so that its signups and deadlines overlapped with HCEX almost exactly.)

AND YET, I'm kicking around the idea of signing up for both whumpex and IPQ with different fandoms (weird to have enough fandoms that this is viable, since they both allow just one - I'd probably do B5 in Whumpex and Biggles/Murderbot in IPQ).

But I am ONLY signing up for either one if there's something I want to write and also if I actually have ideas for whatever I'm likely to match on. I think the issues that were causing my string of defaulted exchanges are resolved and this would actually be a good time to have another deadline, but I definitely do not want to get myself into a bind like I did with the last couple of exchanges.
