Dear Festividder
Hi! Thank you so much for creating something for me! I love vids, and I'm thrilled to get one for any of my requested canons!
For anything I'm requesting, you really can't go wrong with an ensemble vid, or a vid focused on the canon in general. If I have any ideas or yearnings for smaller scope vids focused on specific characters or relationships, I've suggested them, but I love all of these canons and anything just celebrating joy in the canon and its characters would make me very happy.
Music: The music I listen to is mostly pop, rock, indie, and folk; my tastes are pretty mainstream and I definitely wouldn't be bothered by a song being over-vidded or popular. That being said, I love discovering new music from vids, and I am very happy to enjoy whatever you think is right for the vid you want to make!
Vid dislikes: I generally prefer not to have a lot of talking in vids, especially when the voice clips occur simultaneously with lyrics. (Using occasional voice clips for emphasis or impact is fine, though!)
Murderbot (TV)
I absolutely fell in love with this show. I love the whole cast! I love Skarsgard's face doing an amazingly good robot impression! I love Gurathin being a brave wet cat! I love the technology and the beautiful visuals. I would love a team vid, a vid about the show generally, a Gurathin vid (a general character study would be great, or something leaning into the fact that he's essentially living in a noir technothriller while everyone else is in a space opera), a vid focused on Murderbot's journey and the friends it makes along the way, a vid about Mensah & Gurathin & Murderbot's whole entire ... everything, a vid focused on the places/visuals/tech - there are a lot of ways you could go with this, and I'm here for them all!

So my trajectory with this show was basically: I watched some of it back in the 90s, always wanted to finish it, and then I finally got around to watching all of it this year and adored it just as much as I hoped I would. I would love any kind of vid that's about the show generally, its epic arc and its space station/tech/alien visuals and its fundamental optimism and the way all of these people eventually end up loving each other so much. If you want to focus on individual characters, my favorite part of the show (in a show filled with favorite parts) was Londo & G'Kar, and I would love a vid about all of their .... everything, or either of them individually, or the Narn-Centauri conflict. Or Vir! Or the Cartagia arc! Or a general team/ensemble vid ... or a vid about life on the station, or focusing on the show's various friendships, or the alien ambassadors generally ... I just don't think there's a single person on the show I don't love, or at least appreciate. Feel free to include some B5 movie clips if it fits with the story you're telling; I haven't seen all of them yet, but I don't mind spoilers (though I'd rather not have a vid focusing entirely on the movies, or much of the animated one simply because mixing animated and live-action canon is a bit jarring for me). But sticking to the show only is 100% fine too; I mention this only in case you wanted a movie clip or two for your vid and were wondering if I'd mind (answer: no).
Rush (2013 Ron Howard movie) [SAFETY]
I love this movie, and anything about it would make me happy! An action vid with lots of F1 racing scenes? A focus on either main character, or their rivalry/friendship, or the movie's storyline in general? Bruhl and Hemsworth are great in it, and I love Marlene too. (Canon-specific DNW: I'd prefer if you don't include the visuals of Hemsworth's character vomiting. Anything else is good, though!)
Scent of a Woman (1992) [SAFETY]
This was my favorite movie when I was a teenager. I just really loved it then, and still do! I would love a vid about it! Whatever you want to do with it is fine with me. I love its sense of optimism and the odd-couple friendship and Al Pacino and the "underdog vs the rich kids" vibe, and I rewatched the tango scene more times than I can count.
Wiseguy (TV)
I rewatched this show a few years ago and found that it holds up surprisingly well with its before-its-time arc storytelling and complex characterization. With the caveat that you should do you - I'd much rather have a vid you loved making than anything else! - I'd prefer a vid that doesn't focus primarily on the Steelgrave arc, or Sonny/Vinnie, just because so much of the fandom is about that, and most of my favorite parts of the show lie elsewhere. (Although clips from it are fine in a larger context.) I'd rather have a general vid about the show, or about the FBI agents, or focused on a different arc if you want to do an arc vid. The Lynchboro and Dead Dog Records arcs are particular favorites, as is the episode where they all go on vacation to the mountains, and I also really enjoy Lococco. (I tend to like to pretend that season four doesn't exist, but it does have some good Frank stuff, so if clips from it fit whatever story you're telling, go ahead! But you can also just ignore it.)
