Misc things

• Tagset nominations are open at summerofhorrorexchange! (If you nominate over there, note that they don't take / nominations; you can specify / relationships in the optional details, but for this exchange the nominations are & only.)

• I got both my caseficexchange and whumpex assignment and I love both of them. I may already have started writing one.

• After a year or so of just being creatively _flat_, I feel like I'm finally firing on all ... well, most cylinders again. I finished two books this month (edits on Red Boar, and the rough draft of the next Julie book) and my fanfic word count for the month is higher than it's been since Nov. 2022. (Which is usually a pretty good indicator of my mental state - it's true that fanfic siphons a certain amount of creative energy off the origfic and vice versa, but usually when I'm writing a lot of one, I'm also writing a lot of the other because I'm in a high-energy state generally.)

• First proper rain of the spring tonight. It didn't last very long, but it was nice; I like rain and it's something I miss in the winter. We still have quite a lot of snow (go awaaaaayyyy) but this will help with that.

• I've ended up posting on DW every day in April as an incidental side effect of all the B5-posting, and I've had a good time with that! Currently wondering whether to try to keep it up in May. It was hugely helpful to have something new to talk about almost every day, since I don't talk about my personal life much on here. I've also really enjoyed everyone showing up to talk about B5 with me. ♥ (And MASH before that, which I really should get back to posting about; I got swept away in the new scifi blorbos.)

So glad the creative energy has returned!! Plus the rain! As much as us Brits complain about it, after a long dry period (which we seem to be in atm), it's very welcome - so long as it doesn't turn into a loooong wet period, lol! :D
