Biggles vs EvS vs everyone Great British Bake Off AU!!!

BWAHAHAhhhh.

(I am tempted to write them baking something competitively, if not for a show ... it would be such chaos.)

I keep staring at 'location: shuttlebay' wondering if there's a way to make something out of it, it has a Biggles vibe. You could decide to interpret it as a hangar, or possibly sitting in the rear of an airplane about to make a parachute jump, or go ahead and write Biggles in Space - or I was reading about parasite planes where they put a tiny plane on top of a big one and then they separate after the big one's done the long-distance flight, I bet Biggles has had a go at those...

Or for the angsty end of things, the depression/self-harm/suicide/scars prompt has EvS written all over it - and early-canon Biggles too ;_;

Oh, that's a brilliant take on the shuttlebay prompt ... and that one would give me a line (with the alternate prompt down below). HMMMMM.

(Along those lines, I discovered today that there was a custom Antarctic exploration vehicle built in the 1930s - which did not work, because they didn't test the wheels in snow until it got there, and it turned out it could only drive in reverse, which is so 1930s science that it kills me. But the point here is, it was designed to hold a biplane on top - if you scroll down in the Wiki article, there's a picture of what that was supposed to look like - and if a BIPLANE-CARRYING ANTARCTIC SNOW CRAWLER does not sound like a Biggles fic waiting to happen, I don't know what does.)

The self-harm square has been one of my top ones to write from the beginning, but I'm struggling at bringing it all together. It might even need to be a longer fic. I love the reminder that Biggles has some experience at this too ...

ANTARCTICA BIPLANE CARRIER is 100% pure Biggles, that is an amazing story! The fact that its wheels don't work properly is, somehow, also pure Biggles, he absolutely would arrive in Anarctica and discover the vehicle only works if you drive it backwards. I love the detail that the internal heating worked so well you only needed a light blanket, too!

Self-harm fic for either Biggles or EvS or drawing on both their angsty experience with this - it sounds to me like the sort of story that wants to go absolutely full id *_*
