So they say it's your birthday ...
I was planning to run a birthday promptfest, but as the last couple of weeks have ended up going (and with all the prompts I currently have from my bingo cards) I think I'm going to save that as a project for Future Me. Maybe in August?
The art class absolutely wiped me OUT - which made more sense when I got to thinking about 4 hours a day, 5 days a week of art instruction compared to my college classes, like ... that's a lot! That's a huge class load, actually! It's only 2 weeks with no homework so obviously not comparable on some levels, but no wonder I was so blitzed (and we really were drawing and learning things the whole time, it was great) - on top of being really unused to going anywhere at all. This was the first scheduled, regular thing I've had since the start of Pandemic Times, aside from one-offs like occasional weekend events and a couple of short trips. It was great, glad it's over, will try to post some of the art soon!
I can't quite believe I'm 48. Wild. Turning 40 was the one big milestone that felt like a milestone, and I don't currently feel like 50 is going to hit as hard (but we'll see how I feel when I get there). I got flowers from my sweetie and some nice little gifts and a bunch of chocolate,as well as an unexpected yet excellent early gift of political optimism, and it also rained after weeks of hot, dry weather. No complaints, would turn 48 again.
