sga_talk is (as always) looking for more stories to add to its discussion list,
which can be found here. You can add your own, or,
with author permission only, someone else's. They take all kinds of fic; looks like they're particularly short on femslash right now, but any and all varieties are accepted. Generally, if past discussions are anything to go by, it doesn't seem like stories are getting raked over the coals -- you offer your story and take your chances, of course, but if you're hesitant to sign up because you don't want to have your story shredded, it seems that gentle criticism is about the worst anyone's had to deal with.

See? You have influence! Either that, or I'm feeling a bit weak willed and easily led today...!!! *bg*

Mostly, as I don't think I could effectively crit a slash story, it means I'd be wary of a slash writer/reader critiquing a gen story.
This is a really interesting point of view and one that I think could spark a lot of good discussion in the comm. :)
We alternate genres each time we discuss--gen, followed by het, followed by femslash, followed by m/m slash. Each genre has been equally represented and we've discussed 6 gen stories to date. So you might find something that interests you in those stories. And if not, that's perfectly okay too. :)

Having said that, it is entirely fair to *not* want to have your work discussed; I know that it isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Hmm.
Don't think I'm satisfied enough with my work to take it there. Which is a stupid thing to say, seeing as how they're posted on ff.net with the intent of being read. But still. Definitely not there confidence-wise, too many holes in my stuff.
Interesting idea, though.
