Help, I have a problem
And the problem is that I can't stop staring at pictures of Daniel Brühl. I haven't had an actor crush hit me this hard in ages - transient character crushes and minor rounds of bingeing on various actors' backlists, sure, that happens all the time, but this is like a full-blown teenage "cutting pictures out of celebrity magazines and taping them up on your bedroom wall" type of crush.
Brains. Why are they like this.
Brains. Why are they like this.

He's got an objectively interesting face. You might just be stuck with it.

He does! It rewards careful examination.
In all seriousness I like that he somehow manages to balance being spectacularly good-looking with having a face that's not - I don't know how to put this - overly perfect, I guess? Too pretty? He's just that little bit of quirky and odd that makes him really interesting to look at and not plastic-looking.

I think that's how the best faces work.

Help.

OK I attempted to google for them and wow a cursory google sure can't find any. I found a fandom-secrets post but it turned out to just be someone helpfully giving recs. No! Don't rec the Alienist! Post pictures of Bruehl's face!

And Brühl just has the right it factor for me, too. He's got the kind of charisma and in-depth empathy for his characters that I really like, and also, I love his face. And hair. And everything.

Yes. That. Basically. I think he sort of hits this killer combination of being genuinely a very good actor who inhabits his characters deeply, and also being an adorable charmer. It's very hard to resist.

But yes, brains tend to do stuff like this. Best not to fight it, I say!
