sholio: glittery Christmas ornaments (Christmas ornament 2)

Linkdump and a poll

I signed up for [community profile] fandomtrees! (My "tree" is not up yet since I just signed up on the signup post.) This fest is this year's answer to the sadly defunct Fandom Stocking. Signups close on Fri, Dec. 4 at UTC 23:59. Go sign up so I have more trees in my fandoms to treat! :D You can also sign up with non-fandom "fandoms" such as recipes or music recs.

[personal profile] snickfic is running a no-frills friending meme! If you would like some new friends on DW, go find some!

2020 short story recs from [personal profile] sophia_sol for your reading pleasure!

I'm not doing the December posting meme where you ask people to contribute topics, because I have enough trouble writing about things I already want to write about lately. Instead, I think I'll do my own version of it, which is to ask which of the things I've been thinking about making posts about that you want me to talk about, and try to write about those. This way maybe I'll manage to unload some of the drafts I've been kicking around in my head.

IDK if this is a politics topic you were considering, but I personally would love a "so here's what's up in Alaskan politics lately" summary. I especially would like to know what eventually happened with the trying to dissolve the University of Alaska...

But also I voted for many other things. I'm easy. :D

LOL omg, I heard about the crazypants stuff with the prior mayor, but I definitely missed the follow-up. That's AMAZING.

I'm not even especially interested in Torchwood or Iron Fist/Defenders/etc., generally, but you always manage to make them sound compelling. Not that I plan to watch them, but I enjoy your thoughts regardless.

I really want to read the post about how everything we learn about propaganda in school is probably wrong (I actually almost took a college class called propaganda and war-I sat in on it when visiting colleges and then they didn’t offer it again once I actually started at the school)

Well, I don‘t know how far your interest goes but I do miss your „slices of alaskian life“ posts :)
If there‘s nothing to tell, I‘m also assuming no major disasters are happening, which is good.

I also love anything you have to say about Peggy and Jessica. :D

Slice-of-life Alaskan posts are also great! Those were very funny.
