Dear Just Married Writer
Dear Just Married writer,
Thank you so much for writing for me! I know I'll love it! My requests will hopefully give you guidance, but please don't feel bound by them. I would rather have the fic of your heart than have you try to force yourself to write a request that doesn't speak to you.
Although I've requested fic for my main gift, art treats are welcome.
Things I love:
Case fic. Slice of life. Characters hanging out together. Enemies/antagonists to friends. Hurt/comfort. Tortured together, or recovering afterwards. Trauma recovery. Witnessing the other character having nightmares or other trauma after-effects and learning about it that way. Characters being gentle with each other's damage (physical or emotional). Characters being all up in each other's space, especially if they're not actually a couple but are just That Weird about each other. Platonic bedsharing or sharing of other spaces (tents, hotel rooms, etc). Cuddling and gentle touching. Protectiveness. Characters getting badly hurt for someone else (taking a bullet, taking torture to spare them, etc) and the other character feeling terribly guilty about it and the first one not minding at all. Fever, delirium, head injuries, generally being dazed and floppy and out of it. Sex pollen with a focus on taking care of each other's emotional and physical needs, during and/or after. Desperate worry. Presumed dead. Actually dead and then magically healed/fixed/rescued from the afterlife. Handcuffed together. Trapped together. Hiding injuries/illness, not believing they're worth saving or being taken care of. Overworking themselves while recovering from injury or illness, and relapsing. Learning to be loved and to believe they're worthy of love. Families of choice.
Including canonical pairings is always fine!
Do not want:
Permanent character death or terminal illness (presumed death and/or miraculous healing is fine). References to real-world plagues currently happening (similar symptoms from a different cause are fine). Dark or downer endings - even if very dark things happen in a fic, I'd like to end on a note of hope. See individual requests for a few canon-specific DNWs.

The platonic version! (Though canon levels of Danny/Colleen are fine.) Feel free to go wild with all sorts of handwavy variants on arranged/forced marriage involving Danny and Ward as the heirs to the company - maybe Harold makes them do it, because Harold; maybe it's an alternate universe where arranged marriage is a thing and they were betrothed from childhood; maybe the terms of Harold's will require Ward to get married to fully inherit. Maybe it's Ward and Colleen in a forced marriage as some kind of Hand-related thing.
Or perhaps it's all part of a magic ritual to bring one of them back to life, or to save the world, or to otherwise resolve one of the completely bonkers situations they keep finding themselves in.
I absolutely love forced cohabiting and forced intimacy, so feel free to go wild with characters learning about each other's trauma due to the nightmares they can no longer hide, arguing over dishes, platonically cuddling, etc. I also adore hurt/comfort, either emotional or physical, but if that's not your thing, no worries there; I'm fine without it too.
As you can see from the ship requests, I'm fine with shippy variants, so don't worry about it if you aim for platonic and it goes over the line to ship. It's just a somewhat different set of tags.
DNW: Permanent character death or terminal illness; references to real-world plague (similar symptoms from something else are fine); dark/downer endings.

The ship version! Details are very much like the gen version; free to go wild with all sorts of handwavy variants on arranged/forced marriage involving Danny and Ward as the heirs to the company - maybe Harold makes them do it, because Harold; maybe it's an alternate universe where arranged marriage is a thing and they were betrothed from childhood; maybe the terms of Harold's will require Ward to get married to fully inherit. I absolutely love forced cohabiting and forced intimacy, so feel free to go wild with characters learning about each other's trauma due to the nightmares they can no longer hide, arguing over dishes, cuddling and awkwardly falling in love, etc. I also adore hurt/comfort, either emotional or physical, but if that's not your thing, no worries there; I'm fine without it too.
For pairings other than Ward/Danny/Colleen, you can handle Danny/Colleen in any way you like as long as it results in an amicable relationship afterwards - maybe they're permanently broken up after season two, or never got together; or maybe they stay together as a poly "V" kind of thing.
DNW: Permanent character death or terminal illness; references to real-world plague (similar symptoms from something else are fine); dark/downer endings. For this request only, no explicit sex, please, though kissing and cuddling and the implication they're going to have sex later/have already had sex are fine.

It's fine to keep Jack/Ianto (or any other canon pairing) regardless of who else is paired up in the fic. This is a fandom where complicated poly arrangements are perfectly fine and dandy. If you do decide to break up canon couples, please do it amicably. Also, ignoring Exit Wounds and anything after it is encouraged (but not required, of course; you can set the fic earlier, or fix it via time travel/magically snatching the characters out of harm's way/etc). See below for one specific DNW related to that - I don't want alternate-universe versions of the dead characters who aren't "our" Owen, Tosh, or Ianto.
My favorite era in the show is the last half of season two (minus Exit Wounds), and any sort of hypothetical future following along from that. I love all the character development that goes along with Owen being dead, and the relative gentleness and softness that enters into his relationships with his teammates because of it. I would lovelovelove any variation on marriage, soulbonding, and/or life-sharing to bring him back to life after his canonical undeath - some kind of alien artifact or supernatural ritual, for example, that allows Owen to live as long as someone else is bonded to him. Or the inverse: he gets married to someone(s) who has to convince Owen they're not just settling for him, only to find out that the marriage grants unexpected powers/abilities that bring him to for-real life.
If that doesn't float your boat, that's fine! There are SO many ways these total dumbasses could fall in love and get married (or the other way around: get married and THEN fall in love), from alien ceremonies to fake-undercover-marriage because of Torchwood reasons to accidentally-for-real getting married in a ritual to save the world, and I would love alllll of them. I really enjoy the completely batshit nature of their work lives, and would love to see any of these pairings fall in love while working together on some canon-typical kind of Torchwood weirdness. Feel free to throw them into any kind of tropey scenario from undercover in suburbia to Aliens Made Them Do It to eldritch sex rituals.
DNW: Anyone being actually, for-real permanently dead (as opposed to Owen's undeath, which is fine); fixing canonical character deaths by bringing in alternate-universe versions with different backstories and relationships than the canon characters; Gwen-bashing (okay to leave her out if you don't want to write her); dark/downer endings; characters ending the fic hating each other or otherwise at odds. Specific to the Jack/Ianto/Owen pairing, I'd like the feelings to be spread around equally; I don't want any one leg of that relationship being portrayed as "less" than the other - specifically don't want Owen being a third wheel in a relationship that is mostly Jack/Ianto.

Arranged marriage but actually just friends and in love with other people | Arranged marriage with both in love with third party | Arranged Royal Marriage | Best Friend Marriage to Escape Unsupportive Parents | betrothed as children | Character A Marries Character B's Ghost To Resurrect Them | Forced to Marry Due to Soulbond | Marriage by Winning Ritual Combat Against Potential Spouse's Current Spouse | Marriage Is the Only Cure for Fatal Soul Bond | Marriage so Supernatural Partner Can Have a Soul | Marriage to Stay Undercover Unexpectedly Results in Soul Bond | Marriage to Stop Eldritch Forces From Re-Entering The World | Marriage Where One Partner Has Platonic Soulmate | Resurrection Sex Spell Gone Wrong Results in Unbreakable Magical Marriage Bond | Resurrection Spell Requires Ritual Marriage | Ritual Marriage Gone Wrong | Undercover as Married
For pairings outside this relationship, if any, feel free to have any combination of the Steve/Nancy/Jonathan triad, or Robin/any female character (or OC).
It's Hawkins, so go as OTT as you like. An eldritch horror made them get married? Sure! Robin has to marry Steve's ghost to bring him back to life? Why the heck not! AUs in which arranged marriages are a thing in 1980s suburbia? Go for it! Or maybe it's actually more real-worldish, with Robin and Steve providing each other an alibi marriage for anything from insurance reasons to giving the other one a place to stay to get them out of a toxic home situation.
DNW: Permanent character death or terminal illness; references to real-world plague (similar symptoms from something else are fine); dark/downer endings; Robin being romantically or sexually interested in guys.
Agent Carter
Peggy/Jack
Peggy/Jack/Daniel
Arranged marriage to end conflict | Arranged Royal Marriage | betrothed as children | Betrothed/Spouse Has a Secret Identity | Bureaucratically Arranged Marriage | Long-Time Betrothed Couple Adds Third To Marriage For Political Reasons And Falls In Love
There's a fairly specific thing I'd love to have for this: an arranged marriage between Peggy and Jack, with or without Daniel as an additional element in the relationship. Peggy and Jack can actually even stay platonic; that part is totally up to you. It can be a total AU in which they're royalty, or a slight AU of our world in which arranged marriages are a thing. Spy shenanigans on the side are welcome, e.g. of the Scarlet Pimpernel variety - i.e. secret from spouse as well - or all of them working for the SSR or a similar organization as in canon. Arguing and fighting and gradually coming around to a mutual understanding and love (of whatever form) is excellent. As noted in other requests, I love forced cohabitation/space-sharing and all that goes along with it - arguing over dishes or laundry, forced to share a bed, forced discovery of each other's trauma/nightmares because it can no longer be hidden.
If the details of this request are too restrictive, of course, I would be entirely happy with a different take on the requested pairings/tags. I would rather have you write the fic of your heart than be stuck trying to follow a very specific request of mine!
DNW: Permanent character death or terminal illness; references to real-world plague (similar symptoms from something else are fine); dark/downer endings.
