Dear Id Pro Quo Writer
Hello
idproquo creator! I expect you're here because our ids are a match, so I know I'll love whatever you make for me. ♥
For this exchange you literally cannot go too hurt/comforty, too tropey, or too angsty for me. On the other hand, I also really love emotionally restrained angst and h/c, so go wherever your heart takes you; I'm happy to be along for the ride.
I requested fic for my main gift, but would be very happy with art treats. Feel free to mix and match prompts between requests - I would be happy to have any of these prompts for any of my requested fandoms.
Things I love:
Tortured together, or recovering afterwards. Trauma recovery. Witnessing the other character having nightmares or other trauma after-effects and learning about it that way. Characters being gentle with each other's damage (physical or emotional). Characters being all up in each other's space, especially if they're not actually a couple but are just That Weird about each other. Platonic bedsharing or sharing of other spaces (tents, hotel rooms, etc). Enemies/antagonists to friends. Cuddling and gentle touching. Protectiveness. Characters getting badly hurt for someone else (taking a bullet, taking torture to spare them, etc) and the other character feeling terribly guilty about it and the first one not minding at all. Fever, delirium, head injuries, generally being dazed and floppy and out of it. Sex pollen with a focus on taking care of each other's emotional and physical needs, during and/or after. Desperate worry. Presumed dead. Actually dead and then magically healed/fixed/rescued from the afterlife. Handcuffed together. Trapped together. Hiding injuries/illness, not believing they're worth saving or being taken care of. Overworking themselves while recovering from injury or illness, and relapsing. Learning to be loved and to believe they're worthy of love. Families of choice.
Including canonical pairings is always fine!
Do not want:
Character death or terminal illness (presumed death and/or miraculous healing is fine). Unrequested non-canon couples. Pregnancy. Extremely detailed descriptions of torture or rape while it's happening (but rape recovery is fine). Dark or downer endings - even if very dark things happen in a fic, I'd like to end on a note of hope.

Bedside Vigils - Deathbed Vigil with a Happy Ending • Handcuffed Together • Hurt/Comfort - Captured and tortured together & doing their best to help each other through it • Hurt/Comfort - Character is temporarily blinded and has to be taken care of • Hurt/Comfort - Character pushes themself too hard before they're fully recovered and relapse • Hurt/Comfort - Concussion/head injury • Hurt/Comfort - Desperate search to locate where partner is buried alive before it's too late • Hurt/Comfort - Malaria • Hurt/Comfort - Poison • Hurt/Comfort - rescued from imprisonment • Hurt/Comfort - Torture Recovery • Light touches to hand/arm/shoulder • Secrecy - A discovers B's biggest secret • Sex pollen - awkward morning after • Sex Pollen - Experienced as terrifying loss of self-control • Stuck in a Blizzard (TOGETHER) • Touch-Starved • Trapped together - snowed in • Truth Serum/Spells • Whump - Career-ending injuries
I have a definite fondness for terrible things happening to Jack, but I'm also perfectly fine with anyone else as the hurt/drugged/captured/etc party if you go for one of the h/c options. That being said, I'm fine with having them snowed in, handcuffed together, etc. with minimal angst. Daniel finding out about Okinawa is always delightful, as is aftermath for Jack's canonical shooting. I love both gen and ship for these characters, or all shades in between (from shippy gen to genny ship). I also think with Jack in particular, scenarios involving having to rely on other people are deliciously iddy - recovering from his shooting, pushing himself too hard post-shooting until he collapses, being accidentally blinded and needing to rely on the others 'til his vision comes back, and so forth.

A thinks B is a hallucination but B is actually stuck on another plane and needs saving • Hurt/Comfort - A nurses injured B back to health after finding B got tortured to spare A the same • Hurt/Comfort - Character doesn't care about own well-being • Hurt/Comfort - Character hides their illness until they faint and everyone panics • Hurt/Comfort - Concussion/head injury • Hurt/Comfort - Drug Withdrawal • Hurt/Comfort - Malaria • Hurt/Comfort - Nightmares • Hurt/Comfort - Poison • Hurt/Comfort - Torture Recovery • Platonic Cuddling • Platonic Sleeping Together (whether in a bed or not) • Platonic Soulmates • Presumed Dead • Protective Siblings • Redemption - Trying to make amends for past mistakes • Sharing A Bed - Platonic bed-sharing • Slow development of character as trauma from Traumatic Event is dealt with • Trapped together - snowed in • Whump - Character hiding illness/injury collapses
I am, let's face it, always delighted with anything terrible happening to Ward, but I also love his protector/big-brother tendencies and enjoy seeing him as the caretaker, protector, or rescuer too, for either Danny or Colleen. The likelihood of Danny and Ward spending a lot of time in extremely close proximity post-S2 (sharing hotel rooms/tents/hostels, snowed in, etc) is incredibly iddy for me: witnessing each other's nightmares or scars, bonding over their different-yet-similar traumatic pasts. Feel free to add Colleen to the mix - I always wished we'd seen Ward and Colleen bond a bit more. Ward could relapse, or one of them could be drugged or poisoned by an enemy, and tropical diseases are always fun (in fic, I mean ...), as is Ward feeling guilty over his canonical treatment of Danny. Also, that prompt about being astrally stuck while the others think they're hallucinating their (dead?) friend is AMAZING. Danny/Colleen is welcome to whatever degree you want to include it.

Handcuffed Together • Hurt/Comfort - A nurses injured B back to health after finding B got tortured to spare A the same • Hurt/Comfort - Character pushes themself too hard before they're fully recovered and relapse • Hurt/Comfort - Character works so hard while mildly ill that it turns severe • Hurt/Comfort - Concussion/head injury • Hurt/Comfort - Debrief necessitates character to relive the trauma they just went through • Hurt/Comfort - Desperate search to locate where partner is buried alive before it's too late • Hurt/Comfort - Dislocation • Hurt/Comfort - Drug Withdrawal • Hurt/Comfort - emotional resolution after dead or missing person returns • Hurt/Comfort - Hurt/sick character isn't quite lucid • Hurt/Comfort - Malaria • Hurt/Comfort - Mutual Comfort after the Hurt • Hurt/Comfort - Poison • Platonic Soulmates • Presumed Dead • Rape Recovery • Resurrection - One character rescues the other from the underworld/afterlife • Whump - A sacrifices themself to protect B; B is forced to watch A being tortured • Whump - Career-ending injuries
I love how this show leaned into the undercover aspect, and would be very happy with fic that leaned into it too. Vinnie or Frank having to push through an illness/injury to do their jobs, being captured and tortured together, having to pretend to be the actual torturer to avoid blowing a cover ... all those kinds of things are great, as is post-case downtime when they have time to recover. Post-S3 fic is nice; I'd love to see Frank try to go back to work too early and collapse angstily in front of Vinnie. This show also lends itself to all of those deliciously iddy 80s tropes like a character being forcibly addicted to a drug by the villains, having to reset their own dislocated shoulder, and so forth. Also, characters being handcuffed together is one of my favorite tropes and Frank and Vinnie would make a great bickering pair for that.
I also really loved Dan/Nona, and Nona in general, so feel free to include her if you like!
New fandom added late for pinch-hit matching purposes, but I would adore it every single bit as much as the others, I promise! ♥

Canonically Dead Character Survives • Presumed Dead • Cuddling - for warmth • Hurt/Comfort - Concussion/head injury • Hurt/Comfort - Hurt/sick character needs to be carried • Hurt/Comfort - Poison • Protective Team • Protectiveness • Protectiveness - Character being protected isn't used to being cared about • Protectiveness - Character is unexpectedly tender and protective of the other • Resurrection - leads to accidental soul bond • Resurrection - needs touch to stay alive • Resurrection - One character rescues the other from the underworld/afterlife • Sex pollen - awkward morning after • Sex Pollen - We've never wanted to fuck before & won't after but this doesn't have to be awful • Stuck in a Blizzard (TOGETHER) • Sudden Realization - Oh No They're Hot • Supernatural team bonding • Team as Family • Time Loop - Can Only Be Broken When Everyone In The Group Survives To The End • Time with Those One Considers Family • Touch-Starved
See my general likes/dislikes. I'm fine with any canon pairings or poly (that is, you don't have to break up Jack/Ianto for this, in fact I'd prefer if you didn't). I'm totally fine with undead Owen (in fact, I really like him that way - so much angst!) but also completely on board with fixits. I love Owen and Ianto's warmer interactions in late season two and would love more of that. I just want everyone being happy and teamy and together forever.
DNW: Please don't end the fic with anyone unrecoverably dead, or fix a death by bringing in alternate-universe versions of the dead characters (death fakeouts and canon-compliant undeath are fine). Please no Gwen-bashing (it's okay to leave her out if you don't want to write her, just don't make a big deal about it).
