New exchange: hurtcomfortex, a multifandom h/c exchange, now taking tag nominations. You nominate character relationships and specify which character you want to be hurt, and then freeform tags for scenarios like "Concussion", "Enduring Pain to Protect Another", "Mistakenly Believes the Other is Dead", "Gunshot Wounds", etc.

I wasn't going to sign up for anything else before SSR Confidential but ... yeah, I'm all over this.

I had to nominate two additional canons and a whole slew of mostly-gen relationships just to make it some kind of possible that I could come up with three asks and four offers, but...

I dropped Gunnerkrigg Court and Lois McMaster Bujold's The Curse of Chalion into the pot, which I'm hoping someone will see and go "Hey, I know that one well enough to potentially appreciate some fic for it!" I've only written a grand total of one GC fic – for the one and only Yuletide I ever participated in – and nothing for any of Bujold's stuff, but they're canons close to my heart, so here goes.

The already-nominated fandoms I could probably swing are Stargate: SG-1 and Red Dead Redemption 2. I kinda thought about whether or not I could write Detroit: Become Human fic, but my engagement with that game consists of me writing over 200,000 words of AU basically rebooting the canon because I hated so much of the original source material. (And loved so much else of it.) So I have a feeling that I'd just end up falling headfirst into my own unposted AU worldbuilding and character backstories and malarky and giving someone a squid when they asked for a puppy.

What about White Collar? Or is that another squid --> puppy situation? (I haven't actually looked at what's nominated in that fandom, but we can stick some more relationships in there if the usual suspects haven't been put in yet.)

...you know, that hadn't even occurred to me, for some reason. I guess it's not loaded in my buffer memory. I also don't have ...Netflix? ...at the moment, which would make it difficult to canon-review, and I never finished watching it, but I could probably find some way to fake it with plot summaries and memory.

Not like I'm not already nominating relationships for a game I've never actually played myself, or anything.

LOLLOLOL. Yeah, browsing through the tags that people chose to nominate is really a fascinating glimpse into the collective ids of a number of different fandoms, or at least the nominators' ids. XD

... I also have never really understood why people only nominate 1 or 2 pairings in a fandom. Are those REALLY the only thing you're interested in? Don't you want to use some of your other nomination slots to put some different things in?

You should check out the freeform tags, by the way. There is a whole world of inspiration down there. I could write fic for years just using those as prompts.
