Most of my prompts would work for any of my requested pairings. You can also mix'n'match prompts between different canon requests, if you see an AU on one request and have a great idea that would work with a different canon. Generally speaking, if I requested it for one canon, I'd probably like it for any. The one caveat is that I generally prefer happy or at least hopeful endings, so please tread carefully with AUs that involve killing off characters I didn't specifically request. (Presumed dead or death fixits are always great, though. For purposes of this fest, having a ghost character decide to hang out with the others for awhile constitutes a happy ending as far as I'm concerned.)
My general likes include hurt/comfort (allll the h/c tropes), presumed dead, action, casefic, characters rescuing each other, domesticity/living together, road trips, banter, friendship, friends to lovers, characters doing things like playing board games/drinking together/sparring (basically hanging out), character studies, outside POV. I love tropey fic (in general if you're contemplating an idea and thinking "but is this too cliche" the answer is "no") and optimistic/hopeful endings.
Dislikes: unrequested crossovers, unrequested character death, movie canon in comics fandoms or vice versa, underage sex, incest.
Background canon pairings in gen fic are always fine.

Modern world with arranged marriage, 1940s, or fantasy world are all fine with me.
Weird Adventures While Living Together in a Retirement Home AU
This prompt is THE BEST. Just give me their old grouchy versions driving each other crazy and investigating shady goings-on at the local retirement community. No, Peggy, that nurse is *not* an 80-year-old Dottie in disguise. OR MAYBE SHE IS?! (Or heck, 1000 words of these people dealing with bingo night and meatloaf lunch day, and bantering with each other while they do it, would also be fantastic. No spy shenanigans needed.)
Snowed in at a Haunted Hotel
This one basically writes itself. Feel free to do it with the canon characters (basically canon with ghosts), or do a complete AU, modern-day or otherwise, with the characters all meeting at a haunted hotel. Maybe it's a writers' convention and they're all different kinds of writers - that might be hilarious. Or they could be ghost hunters, or random travelers on the road, or whatever you like. Maybe one of them actually IS the ghost!
Literal Fight Club
Peggy + Jack (+Daniel?) in Fight Club! Modern day or 1940s, canon-compliant (maybe some kind of underground boxing ring?) or Peggy sneaking off across the tracks to beat the crap out of people to work out her frustrations with her daily life at the phone company?
Urban Fantasy AU
Werewolves AU
Werewolves, fae, vampires, or even weirder things ... maybe the SSR is an agency that investigates the paranormal? Maybe one of the main characters IS paranormal and is secretly hiding it so they don't get hunted? You can do modern-day or 1940s; I'm good either way.
Kiznaiver/Pain-Sharing AU
I had to look up this one, but what it amounts to is that when one character gets hurt, everyone (or someone specific) feels it; pain/damage is shared across multiple characters. You can do it however you like, as a magic thing or a soulbonding thing or part of a scientific experiment, something that works with two characters or all three.

Alien conquest apocalypse! I'd love to see them as freedom fighters fighting back against alien invaders, or just trying to survive in some sort of alien-conquest aftermath.

Still mostly the same as canon, except Jack's a shapeshifting dragon from a family of dragons invested in secretly ruling the world (maybe all the Council are dragons) who finds himself coming around to the human side. Or perhaps being a dragon runs secretly in Peggy's family and she's the first one in generations who can transform. Or maybe they find some artifact in a defunct Hydra base that turns one of the trio into a dragon.

In "Once Upon a Time", the town of Storybrooke is actually populated by fairy-tale characters (Snow White, Prince Charming, etc) under a curse that's made them believe that they're normal human beings. What if Hawkins is the same way? It's not a real town, it's a cursed magical town. You could either do it in a Once Upon a Time kind of way where they're all characters from fairy tales, or something weird and creepy in which the fairy-tale world suffered some horrible apocalypse, the glimpses of the Upside Down are what it's really like, and the only way to save themselves was to magically portal into the non-magical world and make themselves believe that they were normal humans. But some of them are starting to suspect ...

This works oddly well for Steve, with the Harringtons being rich and never around, but it doesn't have to be him; the entire Byers clan could be Secretly Dragons, or maybe Karen Wheeler is a dragon pretending to be a normal housewife, even Ted doesn't know, and then Nancy starts showing signs of it. (For the above, I'm assuming the dragon can shapeshift into a normal human body when they want to.) Or maybe one of them gets turned into a dragon in the course of normal Hawkins events and then they all have to deal with this.

Nancy seems like the obvious choice for this (maybe the boys get pulled into her after-dark vigilante world by accident) but perhaps it's someone more unexpected living a double life, like Steve. Or maybe they're all doing it and find out about each other when they all try to break into Hawkins Lab or something.

This prompt is pure gold, and imagine Nathan (in the 90s) or Hope (just recently) showing up in the middle of all this nonsense and everyone's like "yep, this is perfectly normal, by the way don't go in the second-floor math classroom because Jean's haunting it right now and she's pretty pissed". With Nathan being a telepath and Hope picking up other people's powers, they'd probably be more sensitive to it than your average member of the team, too. Does Nathan show up as a ghost during one of the times he's dead?

Maybe David takes him hostage as a desperation move, or needs his help saving Sarah when the government comes after her? Bonus points if David is just as failboaty as a vigilante as he is in canon (maybe he relies on traps more heavily?) but you could also do a version of him who is somewhat more badass and ruthless than his canon version. Up to you if Sarah & the kids know about his dual life, or if he faked his death in this reality too.

Frank isn't a vigilante fighting drug dealers and government corruption; he's secretly hunting vampires, werewolves, etc., while the public believes he's a crazed killer because most people don't know such creatures exist. Maybe David & family ARE werewolves (I mean, he kinda looks like one anyway), Frank finds out about it, and they end up teaming up against the really bad monsters after David talks Frank out of killing him. Or maybe David and his family are ordinary people who get caught up in Frank's world by accident.
Road Trip AU
Instead of things going down as they did in the last couple of episodes, Billy gets away (maybe he takes David's family hostage, takes Sarah with him or something?); cue a road trip to catch him and bring him down. For a darker take on this prompt, maybe Billy kills David & Sarah - or they are presumed dead, that's good too - and Frank ends up on the road with Leo, teaching her to shoot guns and hunt down her parents' killers; basically a plot fusion with The Professional.
Ghost Who Doesn't Realize They're Dead
Either Frank or David really IS dead, they just haven't figured it out yet (but might be starting to suspect). And the other one (or maybe someone else, like Sarah or one of the kids) can see ghosts. Also, David either figuring out tech to help ghost!Frank communicate, or ghost!David interfacing with tech AS a ghost, would be a delight.
Weird Adventures While Living Together in a Retirement Home AU
Look, there is no way that Frank in a retirement home *isn't* comedy gold. Combine with any characters for maximum shenanigans (or angst, as you like).
Western/Wild West with powers/magic
You can transplant the show's basic plot pretty easily into a Weird West setting, though David might need a more steampunk tech bent, or magic/psychic powers, to work within his canon role. Otherwise, gimme gunslinger/vigilante!Frank - maybe an injured Frank gets helped out by the Liebermans, maybe he picks up orphan!Leo and teaches her gunslinging, maybe Sarah gets his help in finding her presumed-not-dead husband.
Bookshop AU
Library AU
I'm kind of just imagining Frank as the most terrifying librarian/bookstore owner ever. But you could also have him stagger, bleeding, into a bookstore run by the Liebermans, or it could be a magic library, or something like that.
