It's Monday somewhere! *g*

[livejournal.com profile] sga_genficathon is LIVE! There will be 2-3 gen stories in seven different genres posted each day from now until April 20. Enjoy!

*iz excited* Also wanted to mention that announcing the stories each day at [livejournal.com profile] sga_noticeboard might not be a bad idea...

Oh hey, that's not a bad idea! ... but, do you think it might be considered spamming? I've posted a general announcement for the community just now -- I don't want to be annoying.

They did it every day for [livejournal.com profile] mcshep_match and it worked very nicely. I don't think one announcement a day is spam at all. Just say what the theme is and link to the stories. More a good way to let people know about the fest if they haven't heard than spam, I say. :)

I didn't know there was a precedent for it. Hey, more readers is always good! I just don't want to end up getting myself banned from the noticeboard for excessive posting or anything ... but I think you're probably right, a post a day shouldn't be too much. Thank you for the suggestion! :)

And now I see that you did announce the beginning of the fest. Shutting up now.

*g* No worries! I think that once the community's been announced, the mods at the newsletter ought to collect the stories each day to add to their list ... I think.

I, um, have a vested interest in getting readers for this ficathon. :D

This is looking good - thanks for setting this up and mod-ing it! Looking forward to reading all that lovely luscious fic...and guessing who wrote what (though I tend not to be so good at that)!

Thank you very much! Lots of good stories so far ... I'm really quite happy with the quality of fic that's been produced. :)

Looks like your plans are off to a good start. I've been enjoying the heavy friendship and h/c of these first stories :) heh. Are you still pulling your hair out, or has things calmed down?

Thanks! I'm quite liking the stories so far! The next few categories should shake up the type of stories that are available ... not that I'm going to complain about friendship and h/c, hee.

I'm still missing quite a few stories, but I'm dealing with it by entering a sort of a zen state and not worrying. *ommmmmm*
