Haunted bed, anyone?

Someone is giving away a free haunted bed on Craigslist. This is the best thing I've seen all day.

And I'm stashing it under my "ideas" tag because this has GOT to be useful in a story someday.

Well, i'm guessing that the ACTUAL reason is because the bed is nowhere near 200 years old and "free haunted bed" is more likely to get takers than "free bed, kinda old". XD It's a nifty-looking bed, though!

Whoa, if it's true, then it's very spooky. But odds are the ghosts, if that's what's happening, are in the room, not the bed, and will still be there after the bed is gone. I suspect they are pushing the bed around as they might have done when alive, to make space in the room for other activities. This guy is going to be really unhappy if the bed goes and the ghosts stay....

I'm surprised they never became a big thing in paranormal romance....at least not that I've run into.

Incubi/succubi tend to imply a lack of monogamy - they're all ABOUT sex, so clearly one person would be never enough - and paranormal romance still has a tendency towards the same "eventually everything will resolve to a monogamous couple projected to stay together for the foreseeable future." There's more room for sexual adventure BEFORE that, but that still tends to be the projected endgame. (Not universal, obvs! Just . . .tendency.)

I've seen them (in summaries) more as either villains/antagonists, or as love interests to be "cured" of their succubi/incubi nature for the HEA.
