Agent Carter

I haven't really been posting about Agent Carter lately, or reading other people's posts, because I'm firmly installed in my Bunker of Squee until the bitter(?) end next week. (Although I have been having an absolute blast chatting with sheron about it. :D)

My reaction to last night's episodes, however, can be summed up by the following tumblr gif:

Every single character was amazing, but in particular, I got everything I wanted from a Jack heel face turn, AND MORE. (Well, except maybe badly hurt characters on death's doorstep clinging to each other, but we DID get that with the Jarvises, and then we wouldn't have gotten a lot of what we actually got, so ...) As my White Collar fixation no doubt attests, I am an incredible sucker for frenemies teaming up to con people, while sneakily running their own schemes at the same time.

Now if the show can just manage not to kill off anyone on Team Good Guy next week, everything will be perfect.

(And also a Peggy/Daniel kiss, thankyouverymuch.)

ETA: I am still not over ... well, at least 50% of the scenes in both episodes yet, but currently this one is killing me dead. (Link goes to screencaps at my tumblr.)

Haven't seen the episode yet, but I'm loving this season of Agent Carter so. very. much. ♥

A lot more than the first season, even--it strikes me as funnier, and the characters have learned to know each other, so there's more team!love, and I absolutely adore Jarvis. And Peggy. And Daniel. And Howard. And Dottie. And all of them.

Yes! It has some dark parts, but overall it's much more cheerful and bright and funny, and the characters (especially Peggy) are so much less lost and alone. I really loved last season's themes of recovery and moving on from loss and pain, but I am also loving this season's more cheerful tone.

It is an amazing series! I didn't expect to love it half as much as I do when I started watching. Now it's my all-time favourite thing :D

Yes to all of this! Jack and Daniel were wonderful together, and Peggy was amazing with everyone! (Though I cowered when she gave Jarvis the talking to in the desert, but then she was all empathetic in turn, so...) I was a tad worried when the singing and dancing started, not because I didn't like it but because I was afraid there wouldn't be enough time/plot with too much of that, but it wasn't throughout the ep and boy were there some turnabouts. Now I just need to see what Dottie's up to!

Yeah, one of the things that I loved about the Peggy and Jarvis in the desert scene is that she started out lecturing him -- and then realizes she was wrong, that she didn't have all the information, and apologizes. I loved that they both are capable of hurting each other, as close as they are, but it doesn't have to tear them apart. (I really was worried for a little while that the show might have put a permanent rift between them, but no, not at all.)

Can't wait for next week, though I'm also terrified of how things might end up ...
