I was in the fandom when the show was airing -- well, sort of tangentially connected with it; in a couple of discussion groups on Yahoo, anyway -- and I remember that Mike McCafferty did a lot more online interacting with fans than was normal for actors at that time, answering questions and whatnot. There were rumors that he wrote fanfic at the time. :D
