Quick CA2-fic research question

So, let's say that you're in southern Maryland, and you've just stolen a somewhat-top-secret jetpack off a military base, and you need to go somewhere to test it.

Where's a good place to go? How built up is the area around DC -- are there patches of farmland, fields, things like that? From poking around on the Internet, the Patuxent wildlife refuge looks like it might be a good place, but I don't know if it would have too many people around (not to mention being so close to Fort Meade).

Thoughts?

ETA: I've decided to go with the Patuxent refuge unless someone tells me it's an absolutely terrible idea. :D

How much isolation do they need? Patuxent isn't that large and is swarming with hikers and other people engage in outdoor recreation, but if what they're doing is very quiet and they're doing it after hours I guess that could work.

See, that's my problem: it's not quiet or discreet AT ALL. It's a somewhat noisy jetpack that requires an open area without observers to fly around in. I'm willing to go for a total handwave because canon itself does (the first time they use it in the movie, it's in DOWNTOWN DC and no one seems to notice) but I wanted to give them at least a passing shot at remaining relatively undetected.

On the bright side, I guess, DC residents are used to all kinds of helicopters and other close-flying aircraft, so non-authorities are likely to dismiss any sounds as "just another military exercise"!
