Brief comments on tonight's Fringe
I ... think I hear the sound of the wheels coming off the plot. I can't figure out how any of the revelations about September this episode fit with his actions in earlier episodes; I also can't figure out why he hasn't (apparently) done anything to help them or the resistance for the last 20-odd years. And surely he must know they're un-ambered, because there are wanted posters everywhere, right?
Husband also pointed out that people who are being hunted in a Big Brother Is Watching sci-fi dystopia should probably think about changing their appearance slightly.
But still there is squee! Because ... my team, and there are so few episodes left to watch them. *clings* And the scene with Peter and Walter and Walter's new memories of the lost timeline -- MY HEART. ♥ ♥ ♥ That scene went a long way towards redeeming one of my biggest frustrations at having seasons 1-3 erased from existence: that original!Walter, who spent so much time loving Peter and wanting Peter to love him back, would never know that he would eventually get everything he wanted. This fusion of old!Walter and new!Walter is everything I wanted. I don't even care if it makes sense; I'm just happy that I got to see it before the end. Thank you, show.
