One of the things I'm learning in fandom is that self-indulgent is not necessarily a bad thing. After all, all that really means is that you're writing what you really like. It's perfectly possible that other people will like it too. Of course, it helps if the fic is good. If "self-indulgent" means "OOC and inane dialogue," then's there's not much hope. But this is the good self-indulgent!
