Well, this has been a rather spectacular writing jag -- in the last 9 days, I've written just about 50,000 words (counting both fanfic and original; I've been writing tons of both lately).
I HAVE POURED A LOT OF WORDS OUT OF MY BRAIN. I don't know if this is a record for me, but it's certainly a record since I've been writing down my daily word counts (which I've been doing since 2009).
On the fanfic side of things, I think I've FINALLY stopped adding side stories to my White Collar Big Bang. There is now the original BB plus 5 sequel stories. Each of them was written for a square on my h/c bingo card. I still have to edit the last two (I finished rough drafts of both of them today) but I now have 62,000 words of White Collar fic to post in September. \o/
For a sneak preview, under the cut is my h/c bingo card with the finished squares filled in. So you can see what you have to look forward to. :D
Note the complete and utter lack of anything resembling a bingo, however. :D

But congrats on such a wonderful wordcount, especially one written in so short a time!

I'm always incredibly impressed by prolific writers, because I am so not among them. Congratulations, and I'm looking forward to the fic.

stalkingcatching up on your journal, I have come upon this entry and wanted to offer unsolicited prompts/advice:For the far right column: If you still wanted to do the story where the Casa Burke catches fire/burns down, you could use that for the "burns" square. And for "cursed", it wouldn't have to be...an actual real curse maybe? You could do like...the perception that something is cursed - like, maybe Neal musing on the U-Boat treasure and how it seems to bring misfortune to whoever possesses it? Or maybe you could draw from "Book of Hours" where Neal seemed to believe in egyptian tomb curses and Peter thought it was crap, and do a casefic-type story where Peter and Neal are trying to find a stolen artefact that is rumoured to be cursed, and...every time they get a lead on who might have said artefact, that person turns up dead? And so Neal starts to get creeped out that there might actually be a curse, whereas Peter thinks the person who really has the artefact is a serial killer/is toying with them? Or you could even do like...a comedy style story, maybe set early season 4 when Peter was in evidence, where maybe...there's some kind of evidence-cave legend about something in the warehouse that is cursed? And as the newbie/odd one out, Peter is forced to deal with the cursed thing, because nobody else wants to deal with it? *handflailing of random brainstorming*
Oh! Or now that I look at the card again - you could also do the centre diagonal? The wild card could be anything you want, and septicemia doesn't have to involve big oogly infected wounds (which is a squick of mine, I must admit, not sure about you?) - it can be written as a sickfic? Septicemia can result from a lot of illnesses (pneumonia, appendicitis, etc), or from a tiny tiny little wound (like a papercut). Or for extra freak-out value you could infect someone with menigicoccemia (meningicoccal septicemia), which is frightening because it usually presents as tiredness/irritability, then gets really serious really quickly, and can kill in under 24 hours. And it's highly contagious, so whoever was around the sick person would have to get onto antibiotics superfast to avoid getting sick themselves. So you could foreseeably have a situation where a character (neal, peter, etc) was...on a long/difficult case or something, and was really overworked/run down (thus impairing their immune system), and then they started to feel kind of achy and cranky (which could easily be ignored and attributed to overtiredness/stress, and/or could incite some kind of silly argument for the uninfected character to angst about later) - and then, bam, instant ICU/imminent death. But it's only 40% fatal, so it's not unrealistic for the afflicted person to recover.
Ahem. Just some thoughts? I hope you don't mind the rambling.
