Heh, I was an art major once upon a time, so can relate on the drawing side, too -- this is EXACTLY why I have a whole bunch of lovely Bristol paper and $5-a-pop markers sitting on shelves, while I do most of my drawing with printer paper and Sharpies. *g* It's just difficult to get past the performance anxiety, and cheap materials and low expectations make it so much easier to loosen up and get the creative juices flowing.
