SGU has such a different kind of story telling. They take their time, which works sometimes and others makes it slow to a crawl. I have enjoyed the series and I've been especially pleased with the quality of acting they've gotten, both with regulars and guests (not something I could always say with SG-1 or SGA). I've also noticed a little lighter tone this season but I suspect that was the intention - they had to set the scene and the players first. However, because of the slowness of the storytelling, they took too long to move onto uncovering the connections between the group and the simple joy of being alive.
I also adore the 3 secondary scientists and was particularly pleased to see the girl and Mike Dopud (the Lucian Alliance guy who has the hots for TJ) cast as the leads in a possible new series next year.
I really liked the ep (I think it was last season) where we meet Rush's wife. It explained so much about him. I've also liked most of the eps were we get a peek into the backstory of the characters.
I was a little disappointed in the McKay and Woolsey ep. But my favorite seen was McKay and Eli arguing about...something. They were really impressed with each other and I thought the friendship between David H and David B really shined through. It was just fun.
