Oh, and I hadn't thought about the torture/zappy-thing being responsible for Kate's weirdness ... but no one else seemed to think so, though; Helen actually said to her at one point that the suit was affecting her, and she seemed to be thinking perfectly clearly, just power-drunk.

Though I am looking for good writing and consistent characterization from Sanctuary, so, really, I am probably doomed to disappointment. *g*
