The season structure came about because I had the Day of the Dead vignette first, but it wasn't the 2000 words I'd promised, so I needed to come up with a way of expanding without making that one overly long. :D And, yeah -- in a lot of ways, this 'verse is John and Teyla's story (John's especially).
