John could mollify him with a contraband Snickers bar later. Rodney was a total sucker for that sort of thing -- not the chocolate, though John had once thought that's what did it, but rather, the little gesture of appreciation and concern.
It only now occurs to me that Rodney is like Eeyore. Everyone thinks of Eeyore as always moping; wasn't in the Last Lecture professor who says everyone is either a Tigger or an Eeyore, and no one should be an Eeyore? They forget that the smallest things can make Eeyore happy, like a balloon for his birthday that has already popped or an empty honey jar, simply because someone thought of him.

But yes, Rodney would be the victim in the rescue training, and he was pushed.

It's nice to see the team not suffering, maybe even healing some old wounds, and getting simply to enjoy each other's company!
