... not really! Yes, I use a scanner and Photoshop, and a little Wacom tablet that I bought 7 or 8 years ago (and it's nothing short of a miracle that I haven't lost the stylus yet; I've moved several times, across the country twice, and I still have it -- it's amazing!).
Most of the "effects" on this one were actually done to the physical object rather than as special effects in Photoshop -- crumpling and tearing the pages, taping the scrap of paper to the front for the "Sam's Journal" label. After scanning the pages, I typed the text in Photoshop on top of the scanned page and then used the Wacom to add doodles, notes and scribbles.
