OMG YES. I still have the entire hard drive of an older computer of mine, backed up from when the stupid thing crashed. The entire thing fit on one CD, operating system and all - and that wasn't even that long ago.

And I remember saving fanfic at uni and carrying it home on floppy disks, back when I didn't have internet at home - hell, you bet every kilobyte counted there!
