Thought of Sam also.... But you can't name a greyhound Sam, they are too complex. How about Zed?
A friend of mine rescued a racing greyhound and named it Dasher after Santa's reindeer. At first we scoffed but then realized it really fit.
Anyways, love this AU and look forward to more.
