I actually really like the way it's woven together -- and how you never can be quite sure if he's dreaming the whole thing, or if he's actually always been in 1973 and he's insane, or if it's a genuine sci-fi thing where they're both true. As opposed to most sci-fi shows where the SF premise is right up from and you know that (for example) Sam Beckett isn't a mental patient who just thinks he's a time traveler. With this show, you really can't be sure, and I'm fascinated by that.
