Orientation

I've had quite a few new people come onto my friend-list lately, so I figured I'd post this by way of letting new and new-ish people know what is what and where is where.

My fanfic, except for the most recent few that haven't been added yet, is here:

http://friendshipper.laylalawlor.com

It's all, technically, gen. The vast majority of it has a very strong John/Rodney emphasis; although I write it as gen, some see it as pre-slash. *grins and shrugs* There's also a strong team vibe and some stories focused on other characters and friendships. No overt shipping.

I have another LJ at http://community.laylalawlor.com/laylalawlor/ where I post weekly creative-discussion questions and blog about my original art and writing. (Note: "glacierdust" is me over there.)

My ff.net page is here: http://www.fanfiction.net/~sholio

I think that's about it ... except that you're welcome to ask questions if you have any.

I'm new! I'm new!

I came via stargateficrec, and I read "Running on Empty." It was amazing. So I've read a couple of your other stories, too, namely "Christmas in the Holly-Free Zone," which was hysterical, "Old Soldiers Die Hard," which was touching in that very special Rodney way, and I'm looking forward to reading the rest.

You have a great grasp of Rodney and John and their relationship. The characters really shine through, and I was really impressed by the nail-biting plot in "Running on Empty." I also loved the way you wrote the children John and Rodney found on the planet. Writing OC's is tough, and writing children is tougher, but I really liked Tekka and Jagan. It's nice to find someone who can write longer fic, too. Thanks!

*smile* Hello! Welcome! So glad you like the stories so much. *blush* I love writing these guys, and I'm glad that the stories are as much fun to read as they are to write. (And thank you especially for the comments on the OC kids, because kids ARE tricky to write, and I tried to make them come out as believable people as well as kids and OCs.)
