Just sent the last chapter of "Killing Frost" off for beta. I've loved writing it, but dang, it's gonna be nice to get this albatross off my neck ...

Two more of the fic-a-thon stories are very close to completion. Well, three, maybe -- if I can just get over this one big plot hole. This is what I get for borrowing a plot from a different TV show that maps onto SGA in some ways but not in others. The particular character traits that made the original ending possible ... just don't work here. So I have to write them out of the corner some other way. Aargh.

And I got bit by another plot bunny that has NOTHING to do wtih the fic-a-thon, a fairly dark one, and worked on that a little bit. It was supposed to be a stunningly depressing AU that basically tore down the John/Rodney friendship. Instead it is turning out to be yet another John/Rodney friendship story, albeit a slightly different one from those I normally write. Surprised? Anyone? Me, not so much.

As always with good fics, I'm torn between being thrilled to know how it all ends and being sad that it's going to be over.

And I can't wait to read all these other fics you're talking about (I love your friendship fics).

You have no idea how happy I was to read these words. So, then, in just a few days, a week maybe, I'll be able to *start* this story, because, did I tell you? I can't read WIPs? My doctor has put me off of them because the stress exascerbates my gastritis. TMI!!! TMI!!! If so many of these stories weren't so damned good, I wouldn't have this problem.
