I'm totally with Toph, incidentally: I want people to write life-changing field trip Zuko and Toph fic. Because it would be hilarious.

(Actually, even better, make that life-changing field trip Zuko and Toph and Mai fic. Because I'd be fascinated to see Toph and Mai interact, and they share a total lack of respect for Zuko's emo.)

... aaugh, what have you done to me?! I read this comment right before going out to run some errands, and now I've already started writing this in my head! It'll be totally your fault if this turns into an actual fic. *g* I quite agree on the hilarity. And the lack of respect for his broody emo manpain.

I firmly believe that some (certainly not all) of the Fire Nation royal family issues were caused by not having enough strong royal women around to give the men The Look when they showed the first signs of going overboard.

*laughs* This is SO VERY TRUE! (Luckily, the show pretty much gave him that. Oh, show.)

In the meantime, someone in recessional's comments came up with this fascinating point: Mai's stone face ... isn't going to make the slightest impression on Toph.
