Fandom ahoy!
Oh hell, I have a new fandom: Chronicles of Narnia. It began with reading the books in preparation for seeing the movie. But I fell hard and fast after watching the movie on Saturday.

Fandom: Chronicles of Narnia
Characters: the Pevensie kids (but mostly Peter and Edmund)
Warnings: none
I started to do separate reclets of these, but since they're all very similar, I just ended up repeating myself. These are more-or-less unrelated character pieces exploring Peter's struggle to deal with his perceived failures in protecting his younger siblings ... and said siblings' attempts to help him through his self-doubt. "The High King's Keeper" takes place during Prince Caspian (the night before Peter's duel); "His Family's Keeper" is set after their return to Earth, shortly before Prince Caspian; and "Midnight Vigil" takes place after the kids have been living in Narnia for several years and are growing up. There are a few typos and occasional over-sentimentalism (lots of crying and hugging, if you like that sort of thing, which I do), but overall the stories are very good and provide nice little snapshots of the closeness between the children. The stories are mostly movie-verse but assume at least some familiarity with the books.
