It's funny to say it, but I'm really glad they were all dead! The idea of John quietly making spaces at the fire for ghosts is just too damn sad. I'm actually just happy that he had any faith they'd come for him at all, not to mention that the waiting place might not have been exceptional, but wasn't terrible or anything.

I also hope that those left behind knew that their family was okay and waiting for them.
