I don't have any regrets about watching season five and would have been sorry to have missed it! A lot of my favorite scenes with my favorite characters are in season five. (Also, just from a writing standpoint, I feel like I've grown 3 sizes as a writer just from looking at some of the stuff they've done this season.) But it certainly has been an emotional roller coaster ride.
