I think it's a mark of especially skillful storytelling when you let the audience know the shape of the story early on - even from the beginning - and you can make that knowledge actually work to enhance the narrative arc to make it more powerful.

Yes! It's really beautifully done - the show signposts everything that's coming, and the horrible foreknowledge in some ways just makes it hit harder, because you have the anticipation of the blow about to strike. I don't know if I've ever seen a show do it quite like this, even in the era of prestige TV, apart from some shows that are running in multiple timelines concurrently. From a writing perspective, I'm impressed as hell.

I'm looking forward to getting to the end! I think the pace might slow down a lot to savor the last few pieces of canon (and also because the part I was most invested in has wrapped up), but I'm really looking forward to getting everyone else's ending as well.
