Seeing the quote makes me realize I typed ship where I meant to type station - oops!

I don't know if it was in my comments or not, but it's true, it is really unusual (TV sci-fi-wise) for them not to have that! Or any kind of cloaking tech either, that I can recall. I also like that they use energy weapons rather than projectile weapons as spacefaring sidearms not because it looks high-tech but to avoid accidentally punching holes in the hull, and this is specifically addressed in at least one episode.
