Oh, now I'm intensely curious what it DOES have to say about Biggles' background, if you can remember any of the specifics! I think part of my dislocation with it is just that the language choices are very much of a different era, but I don't get this much dislocation reading some other authors who were writing at the same time. So yes, anything you can remember specifically, if you can, would be cool to know!
